He begetteth not, neither is He begotten. In the surah (chapter) called "Sincerity", the devout Muslim is admonished to say: "God is one God, the Eternal God. Glory be to God, above that they associate!Īll that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies Him He is the King, the All-holy, the All-peaceable He is the All-merciful, the All-compassionate. He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible The oneness and transcendence of God is stated again and again throughout the Koran. ![]() The quintessence of Muhammad's teaching is that there is one God, who transcends the world, and that the aim of life is to commit oneself to Him and to submit to His will. These revelations were supernaturally received, in states of trance, over a considerable number of years intermittently, the first dating from about AD 610, and the last shortly before Muhammad's passing away in AD 632. The Koran is a transcript of the messages revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by the Angel Gabriel. ![]()
